That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cees Haken in the 16th minute of play forced Hogeweg FC's goalkeeper Lukas Sundén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes, Tommie Reinders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hogeweg FC and the Bossenburgh RKSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leon Vliet struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Klaas Jan Haken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hogeweg FC. Bossenburgh RKSV's Klaas Jan Haken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Bossenburgh RKSV from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Tommie Reinders got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Taco Kamps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes, Cees Platvoet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bossenburgh RKSV and the Hogeweg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bossenburgh RKSV getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cees Platvoet hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Vliet in the 39th minute of play forced Bossenburgh RKSV's goalkeeper Klaas Jan Haken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klaas Jan Haken made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Tommie Reinders sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Taco Kamps managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hogeweg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Taco Kamps was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaas Jan Haken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Vliet to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the game, one of Hogeweg FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Bossenburgh RKSV. Ger Hulscher stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lukas Sundén. 1-2. Hogeweg FC's Lukas Sundén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Platvoet in the 65th minute of play. Klaas Jan Haken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taco Kamps in the 72nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Taco Kamps left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hogeweg FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Klaas Jan Haken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommie Reinders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Taco Kamps notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Bossenburgh RKSV's Klaas Jan Haken. Klaas Jan Haken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Klaas Jan Haken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Vliet, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Hogeweg FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
