Spectators: 7944 (Terracing: 5986, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 158) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roderick Brandsma got the match started through his kick off. Zijlberg's Ivo Fransen suffered a sore thigh after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Kees Hulscher fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Randenburg's protests and gave Kees Hulscher a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Kees Hulscher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Zijlberg's Freek Folkers got a free kick in the 10th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Randenburg's Pascal Oosterman tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Kees Hulscher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klaus van Veldhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Coopman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kees Hulscher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus van Veldhuizen having to interfere. Zijlberg's Klaus van Veldhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geert Stout in the 22nd minute of play. Klaus van Veldhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Coopman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Randenburg's Geert Stout got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacco van de Meerakker during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Zijlberg getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jacco van de Meerakker hit a great ball. Klaus van Veldhuizen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kees Hulscher in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute Kees Hulscher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaus van Veldhuizen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Coopman in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Klaus van Veldhuizen saved Zijlberg from getting behind. Zijlberg's Klaus van Veldhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Coopman in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kees Hulscher in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Klaus van Veldhuizen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zijlberg's Klaus van Veldhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Coopman in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Geert Stout was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Randenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zijlberg the free kick.

Zijlberg's Klaus van Veldhuizen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Zijlberg from getting a goal against them. Kees Hulscher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kees Hulscher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Coopman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klaus van Veldhuizen having to make a save. When Randenburg's Jan Coopman in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zijlberg's goalie prevented a goal. Klaus van Veldhuizen made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Kees Hulscher sent off a good shot on target. Harold van der Werff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Boudewijn Klooster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kees Hulscher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Jan Coopman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Freek Folkers fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zijlberg's protests and gave Freek Folkers a yellow card for diving instead. 0-1 became the score in the 82nd minute when Jan Coopman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kees Hulscher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Klaus van Veldhuizen made a huge save. Kees Hulscher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus van Veldhuizen having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Randenburg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zijlberg.
