Spectators: 7948 (Terracing: 5990, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 158) Klaus van Veldhuizen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jef Bosz, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes in the game, Roderick Brandsma fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mark Kolkman having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in venlooooo's zone, Harold van der Werff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Kolkman came out of the goal and Harold van der Werff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klaus van Veldhuizen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arno Salens's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After 15 played minutes venlooooo got a freekick which was hit by Arno Salens. Zijlberg's Hans Hoogenkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emile Oosterveld kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Ivo Fransen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zijlberg and the venlooooo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivo Fransen kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Arno Salens took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Klaus van Veldhuizen. Klaus van Veldhuizen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Roderick Brandsma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Henny Heerspink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jef Bosz in the 33rd minute of play forced Zijlberg's goalkeeper Klaus van Veldhuizen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arno Salens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Klaus van Veldhuizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Maurice Lyesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zijlberg's Klaus van Veldhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jef Bosz in the 39th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Jef Bosz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zijlberg's Klaus van Veldhuizen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Bert Plaggenborg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zijlberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave venlooooo the free kick. The supporters of venlooooo booed when Zijlberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bert Plaggenborg didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Jef Bosz made the kick off in the second half. Hans Hoogenkamp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Kolkman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Arno Salens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. venlooooo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arno Salens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hans Hoogenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jef Bosz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Klaus van Veldhuizen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Klaus van Veldhuizen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jef Bosz in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Zijlberg's goalkeeper Klaus van Veldhuizen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arno Salens. When Roderick Brandsma came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Zijlberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roderick Brandsma couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute Roderick Brandsma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kolkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roderick Brandsma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Zijlberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Lyesen to maneuver through the defense. Klaus van Veldhuizen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arno Salens went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. If Arno Salens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
