With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maarten Wortelboer in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sipke Hesp saved Halfmijl HC from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Willem Houwing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Halfmijl HC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jelte Blaauwgeers hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurjen Ekelhoff in the 37th minute of play forced Halfmijl HC's goalkeeper Sipke Hesp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maarten Wortelboer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
