After 2 minutes, Thomas Eisenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GWMD and the sc de Jong players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thomas Eisenga hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Falco Lubbers got free with Mathieu Roetering in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of GWMD booed when sc de Jong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elco Kort didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathieu Roetering was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Falco Lubbers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Falco Lubbers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Benjamin Ierlandt came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by sc de Jong's Jaap Themmen. But to his dismay, Jaap Themmen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Izaak de Boer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joost van Halst during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Joost van Halst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathieu Roetering was a little too slow when Roderick Jonge got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-1. GWMD's Benjamin Ierlandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaap Themmen in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Falco Lubbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Roetering saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GWMD were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after sc de Jong's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roderick Jonge took the corner. After taking down the ball on GWMD's corner Roderick Jonge fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mathieu Roetering quite easily take care of the ball. Benjamin Ierlandt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaap Themmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Mathieu Roetering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinus Dolfing in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, GWMD's goal looked a bit too open when Izaak de Boer came free, but Benjamin Ierlandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GWMD's Benjamin Ierlandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaap Themmen in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute of the match Roderick Jonge shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mathieu Roetering showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

If Marinus Dolfing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathieu Roetering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinus Dolfing in the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Falco Lubbers in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathieu Roetering prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the match, sc de Jong's goal looked a bit too open when Falco Lubbers came free, but Mathieu Roetering reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GWMD's Benjamin Ierlandt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save GWMD from getting a goal against them. Mathieu Roetering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falco Lubbers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Ierlandt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elmar Dam showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 73 minute of play. sc de Jong's Mathieu Roetering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falco Lubbers in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, GWMD's Falco Lubbers made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathieu Roetering was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathieu Roetering showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falco Lubbers, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Mathieu Roetering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falco Lubbers in the 82nd minute of play. Bjorn Abbenbroek's late challenge caught a GWMD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjorn Abbenbroek helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, sc de Jong's Bjorn Abbenbroek got a free kick in the 83rd minute. sc de Jong's Mathieu Roetering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinus Dolfing in the 85th minute of play. After 87 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Johan Seinstra. Elmar Dam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Izaak de Boer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benjamin Ierlandt came out and tried to block the shot, but Izaak de Boer slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, GWMD's goalkeeper Benjamin Ierlandt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaap Themmen. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
