Spectators: 7501 (Terracing: 5876, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Sporting Skoekeloen's Roger Enzing started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iswadi Sujarwadi got free with Martijn Geerts in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joeri Folkers took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martijn Geerts. Martijn Geerts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Val's Hans Zuiverloon got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute, Roger Enzing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gong Chao Chang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Roger Enzing struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Gong Chao Chang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Skoekeloen. In the 26th minute, Job van Dalfsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Roger Enzing notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Val's Gong Chao Chang. Gong Chao Chang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Val's Job van Dalfsen got a free kick in the 35th minute. Martijn Geerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iswadi Sujarwadi in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, Val was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Ieberts to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Joeri Folkers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martijn Geerts. The goal made the score 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iswadi Sujarwadi was the one to do the kick off. Martijn Geerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo McGee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martijn Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joeri Folkers in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Zuiverloon in the 56th minute of play forced Sporting Skoekeloen's goalkeeper Martijn Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Skoekeloen's Martijn Geerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iswadi Sujarwadi in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Val were awarded a corner. Dirk Reinhard went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Dirk Reinhard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Skoekeloen's Martijn Geerts did a great save. 60 minutes into the game, Val's Iswadi Sujarwadi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martijn Geerts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After some careless play in the Sporting Skoekeloen defense, Job van Dalfsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martijn Geerts. The Sporting Skoekeloen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martijn Geerts should have stopped the shot. Alfredo McGee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sporting Skoekeloen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo McGee was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Alfredo McGee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Martijn Geerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Zuiverloon in the 91st minute of play forced Sporting Skoekeloen's goalkeeper Martijn Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Alfredo McGee cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Martijn Geerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Val fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sporting Skoekeloen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
