Spectators: 8060 (Terracing: 6046, Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 160) Elmar Dam had several of the Meister SV's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Robin Roetering as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 9th minute, Elco Kort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Bouwens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robin Roetering stood somewhat misplaced when Jaap Themmen came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. sc de Jong were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Meister SV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Dekens took the corner. The supporters of sc de Jong booed when Meister SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koen Dekkers didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to sc de Jong getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jan van der Meijde hit a great ball. Mathieu Roetering came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Meister SV's Roeland Stout. But to his dismay, Roeland Stout quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 30th match minute, Meister SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonnie Ritsma to maneuver through the defense. Izaak de Boer charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Izaak de Boer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to sc de Jong getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Izaak de Boer hit a great ball. The supporters of Meister SV booed when sc de Jong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elco Kort didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Meister SV's Humberto Bouwens broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 43 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Izaak de Boer. Mathieu Roetering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koen Dekkers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Jaap Themmen made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jan van der Meijde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Roetering saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Stef Moermans. Stefano Wessels in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mathieu Roetering, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 63 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Theo de Gooijer. If Jan van der Meijde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Koen Dekkers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mathieu Roetering tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, sc de Jong's Mathieu Roetering got control of the ball when Stefano Wessels tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefano Wessels in the 78th minute of play forced sc de Jong's goalkeeper Mathieu Roetering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Roetering stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaap Themmen's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After 87 played minutes, sc de Jong's Johan Seinstra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robin Roetering came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in sc de Jong reached it. Mathieu Roetering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefano Wessels in the 95th minute of play.
