Hans Kok made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 21 played minutes GWMD got a freekick which was hit by Marinus Dolfing. If Elroy Klaasens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Vitesse Arnhem's goalkeeper Hans Kok had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mart Zwaanswijk. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Falco Lubbers took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Hans Kok to make any attempt to save it. Marinus Dolfing received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hans Kok came out and tried to block the shot, but Marinus Dolfing slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute Marinus Dolfing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Kok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to GWMD getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gerwin van Harten hit a great ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Fokke Batum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vitesse Arnhem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fokke Batum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans Kok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinus Dolfing in the 44th minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, GWMD's Falco Lubbers made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hans Kok was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elroy Klaasens to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Ierlandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elroy Klaasens in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, GWMD's Marinus Dolfing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hans Kok made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Hans Kok came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by GWMD's Falco Lubbers. But to his dismay, Falco Lubbers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 63 minutes into the game, Falco Lubbers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Hans Kok was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Vitesse Arnhem defense, Falco Lubbers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Kok. The Vitesse Arnhem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Kok should have stopped the shot. Marinus Dolfing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Hans Kok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Martin Zevenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vitesse Arnhem and the GWMD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vitesse Arnhem's Martin Zevenberg got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 89 minutes of play, GWMD's Marinus Dolfing made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hans Kok was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 93 minutes, Guus Schuttrup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GWMD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guus Schuttrup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans Kok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marinus Dolfing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the GWMD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
