When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Brain Hulshof took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Bernard Reitsema to make any attempt to save it. When René Eisenga fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Punten's protests and gave René Eisenga a yellow card for diving instead. With a left leg Mickael Wisgerhof saved Keinseman VV from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Punten's Ate Deiman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mickael Wisgerhof narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernard Reitsema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brain Hulshof in the 96th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
