When Tjeerd van den Bergh fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weena's protests and gave Tjeerd van den Bergh a yellow card for diving instead. Tjeerd van den Bergh hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Jim Achterberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerben Eylens having to interfere. Herbert Klasens made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Tjeerd van den Bergh sent off a good shot on target. Timmie Terpstra struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Gerben Eylens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Michaels All Stars. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gio Sloothaak got free with Herbert Klasens in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gooitzen Witting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Michaels All Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Achterberg to maneuver through the defense. When Gregor Baalen fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Michaels All Stars's protests and gave Gregor Baalen a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Michaels All Stars! Gio Sloothaak in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Herbert Klasens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jim Achterberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gooitzen Witting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Herbert Klasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gio Sloothaak was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gooitzen Witting in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Klasens saved Michaels All Stars from getting behind. Gio Sloothaak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Herbert Klasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tjeerd van den Bergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herbert Klasens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gooitzen Witting in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Gio Sloothaak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gio Sloothaak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Weena's goal looked a bit too open when Timmie Terpstra came free, but Gerben Eylens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Jan Hilkes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Michaels All Stars's Herbert Klasens. Herbert Klasens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pieter Hoogendorp was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 90th minute, Gooitzen Witting ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herbert Klasens was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Jim Achterberg struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Gerben Eylens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Michaels All Stars. There was no doubt that Weena were the better team. Weena's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
