But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ate Deiman couldn't finish the play. Ate Deiman scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Greef, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ate Deiman came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Punten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ate Deiman couldn't finish the play. Gijs Baars succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 22nd playminute. If Riemer Gronden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Niswijlre FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sipke Friebel hit a great ball. Gijs Baars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bernard Reitsema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernard Reitsema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijs Baars in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ate Deiman to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernard Reitsema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Riemer Gronden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niswijlre FC's Michael Greef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Niswijlre FC from getting a goal against them. Joop Riemers hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Bernard Reitsema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijs Baars in the 63rd minute of the match. Bernard Reitsema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertus Ewald in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ate Deiman in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Greef prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michael Greef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ate Deiman, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Punten's Ate Deiman got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ate Deiman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Niswijlre FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Marcel Aukes hit a great ball. Niswijlre FC's Michael Greef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ate Deiman in the 83rd minute of play. Bernard Reitsema showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijs Baars, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ate Deiman in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Greef saved Niswijlre FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertus Ewald in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard Reitsema prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 96 minutes into the game, Niswijlre FC's Gijs Baars nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernard Reitsema made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Punten players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Niswijlre FC.
