Jim Achterberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jan Mussies made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Michaels All Stars's Bertus Timmer got a free kick in the 9th minute. Kenneth van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Mussies made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Achterberg in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Michaels All Stars's zone, Fabian Butter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Klasens came out of the goal and Fabian Butter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jasper Theisens fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bruchterveld HC's protests and gave Jasper Theisens a yellow card for diving instead. Jim Achterberg in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jan Mussies, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Herbert Klasens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Butter in the 21st minute of play. When Elmar Lammens fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bruchterveld HC's protests and gave Elmar Lammens a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Bruchterveld HC got a freekick which was hit by Elmar Lammens. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Achterberg got free with Jan Mussies in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jasper Theisens got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 31 played minutes Bruchterveld HC got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Theisens. Jan Mussies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmie Terpstra in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Bruchterveld HC's Kenneth van Driest sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Klasens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Kenneth van Driest managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruchterveld HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth van Driest was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Klasens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Michaels All Stars's Gregor Baalen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 79th minute Stef Kroon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Mussies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Mussies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pieter Hoogendorp in the 81st minute of play. Teo Duin hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Michaels All Stars's Herbert Klasens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Michaels All Stars from getting a goal against them. Fabian Butter struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Herbert Klasens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bruchterveld HC. After 92 minutes, Gilbert Blind mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruchterveld HC and the Michaels All Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Bruchterveld HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Blind to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Timmie Terpstra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Mussies. Bruchterveld HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmie Terpstra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Michaels All Stars's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
