An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Stragapede in the 14th minute of play forced Bruchterveld HC's goalkeeper Jan Mussies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Frederik Visscher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diamonds's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederik Visscher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Mussies breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daniele Stragapede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenneth van Driest stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tim Arts charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tim Arts hit a great ball. Jan Mussies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Stragapede, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Oss got free with Jan Mussies in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Teo Duin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reinhard Bennink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth van Driest, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Bruchterveld HC's goalkeeper Jan Mussies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jouke Mensing. Ruud Klok hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Rudolf Borker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Daniele Stragapede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Mussies was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After 84 played minutes Bruchterveld HC got a freekick which was hit by Ruud Klok. After a rather tough play, Bruchterveld HC's Tim Arts got a free kick in the 86th minute. Jan Mussies made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olof Hof in the 89th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Rudolf Borker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamonds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolf Borker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniele Stragapede got free with Jan Mussies in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Diamonds's Reinhard Spaan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Mussies. That made the score 0-6 after 96 minutes of play. When the match was over Diamonds could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bruchterveld HC throughout the match.
