Mathijs Klap could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Rik Stekelenburg made a huge save. Miroslaw Scislowicz scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Reitsema, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernard Reitsema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslaw Scislowicz in the 12th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Punten got a freekick which was hit by Marco Cranenburgh. In the 27th minute of the match, Marco Cranenburgh tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rik Stekelenburg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
