Spectators: 8038 (Terracing: 6029, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miroslaw Scislowicz started the match with the kick off. Marick Staarman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjen Bos in the 3rd minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Ruitenberg FC's corner Mathieu van den Berg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marick Staarman quite easily take care of the ball. Rik Stekelenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Kristoffers in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teo van der Saar got free with Rik Stekelenburg in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rik Stekelenburg made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Reinier Klasens sent off a good shot on target. Marick Staarman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslaw Scislowicz's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Richard Achterberg put in a rough tackle. After 30 played minutes Ruitenberg FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Achterberg. FC Beachelona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rogier Vrieze in the 32nd minute. FC Beachelona's Rogier Vrieze was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rik Stekelenburg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ruitenberg FC's Rik Stekelenburg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ruitenberg FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ruitenberg FC's Miroslaw Scislowicz got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ruitenberg FC's Miroslaw Scislowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Mathieu van den Berg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marick Staarman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen Bos in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Beachelona's goalkeeper Marick Staarman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Beachelona's zone, Arjen Bos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marick Staarman came out of the goal and Arjen Bos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mathieu van den Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henk Kristoffers to make the kick off. A collision led to FC Beachelona getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rogier Vrieze hit a great ball. Mathieu van den Berg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Beachelona's Rogier Vrieze got a free kick in the 53rd minute. FC Beachelona's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arjen Bos 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. In the 60th minute Arjen Bos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marick Staarman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes FC Beachelona got a freekick which was hit by Corné Dekens. In the 64th minute Teo van der Saar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rik Stekelenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ruitenberg FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Roeland Duinhoven hit a great ball. Corné Dekens hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Rik Stekelenburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Kristoffers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arjen Bos hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Arjen Bos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arjen Bos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marick Staarman having to interfere. Ruitenberg FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
