In the 9th minute, Gooitzen Witting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Weena's goal looked a bit too open when Gijs Baars came free, but Gerben Eylens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Ab Spiering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 19 played minutes Niswijlre FC got a freekick which was hit by Theo Mosselveld. After 23 minutes, Riemer Gronden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niswijlre FC and the Weena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Riemer Gronden kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Gooitzen Witting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ab Spiering kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Michael Greef. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Gerben Eylens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rien van Bommel in the 37th minute of play. Ab Spiering had several of the Niswijlre FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Michael Greef as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gio Sloothaak got free with Michael Greef in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

After 52 minutes, Ab Spiering made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Niswijlre FC's Michael Greef tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Weena booed when Niswijlre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sipke Friebel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Weena's Simon Hartogh broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilco Sterenberg during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Niswijlre FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Wilco Sterenberg hit a great ball. When Weena's Ab Spiering in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Niswijlre FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88th minute, Bertus Ewald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerben Eylens was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Gerben Eylens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rien van Bommel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gooitzen Witting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Michael Greef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
