The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barry Rogaars during the 7th minute. Dennis Robbermond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ronald van Zeist made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Steven Wilhelm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Keinseman VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joris Tulner to maneuver through the defense. If Steven Wilhelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Geel Blauw United got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Lambers. A hard shot by Lex Onrust from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Ronald van Zeist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mickael Wisgerhof made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Adriaanse in the 23rd minute of play. Geel Blauw United's Ronald van Zeist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lex Onrust in the 28th minute of play. Ronald van Zeist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lex Onrust showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Geel Blauw United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Adriaanse to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Robbermond came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ronald van Zeist could save by the left post. Geel Blauw United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keinseman VV the free kick. Ronald van Zeist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lex Onrust, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Mickael Wisgerhof came out and tried to block the shot, but Barry Rogaars slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 54th minute. Nico de Ruijter's late challenge caught a Keinseman VV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nico de Ruijter helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Keinseman VV booed when Geel Blauw United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico de Ruijter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Geel Blauw United's zone, Lex Onrust stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald van Zeist came out of the goal and Lex Onrust tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geel Blauw United's goalkeeper Ronald van Zeist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jurgen Tinselboer hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Dennis Robbermond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Keinseman VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Robbermond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Lex Onrust left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Keinseman VV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 75 played minutes Geel Blauw United got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Roeters. After 94 minutes of play, Keinseman VV's Dennis Robbermond made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronald van Zeist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keinseman VV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
