Caliamera FC's Rik Heerspink got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Punten's Ate Deiman in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caliamera FC's goalie prevented a goal. Folkert Hulscher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ate Deiman's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 11th play minutes Ate Deiman shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Folkert Hulscher and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ate Deiman sped through Caliamera FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Folkert Hulscher. After having played for 21 minutes, Ate Deiman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Punten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ate Deiman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ed Bakker was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Caliamera FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Punten:s goal. In the 29th match minute, Caliamera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rik Heerspink to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Caliamera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ate Deiman came free, but Folkert Hulscher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folkert Hulscher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ate Deiman's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Mathijs Klap blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Folkert Hulscher having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ate Deiman in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folkert Hulscher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th match minute, Punten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René van Dijk to maneuver through the defense. Henry van Fessum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bernard Reitsema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sjoerd van Heiningen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folkert Hulscher having to interfere. Folkert Hulscher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ate Deiman in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry van Fessum to strike the kick off in the second half. Marco Cranenburgh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folkert Hulscher having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ate Deiman in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folkert Hulscher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Marco Cranenburgh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Folkert Hulscher. That made the score 0-5 in the 57 minute of play. A collision led to Caliamera FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gerald Sleiffer hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Punten got a freekick which was hit by Ate Deiman. 63 minutes into the game, Ate Deiman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Folkert Hulscher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mathijs Klap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Folkert Hulscher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ate Deiman in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Ate Deiman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folkert Hulscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ate Deiman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Folkert Hulscher when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Folkert Hulscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sjoerd van Heiningen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ate Deiman put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Folkert Hulscher. When Ate Deiman came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Punten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ate Deiman couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Ate Deiman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folkert Hulscher. Caliamera FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ate Deiman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Mathijs Klap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folkert Hulscher having to interfere. The Caliamera FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Punten were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
