Niswijlre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arjen Bos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 12 minutes of play, Ruitenberg FC's Miroslaw Scislowicz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Greef was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Niswijlre FC's Marcel Aukes got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Arjen Bos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Greef. Michael Greef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Scislowicz in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Miroslaw Scislowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Greef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Greef took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslaw Scislowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ruitenberg FC booed when Niswijlre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sipke Friebel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Niswijlre FC's zone, Mathieu van den Berg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Greef came out of the goal and Mathieu van den Berg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathieu van den Berg charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathieu van den Berg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mathieu van den Berg hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Rik Stekelenburg made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Gijs Baars sent off a good shot on target. Bertus Ewald charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertus Ewald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miroslaw Scislowicz scored 0-4 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Greef, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 minutes, Miroslaw Scislowicz made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Niswijlre FC's Michael Greef tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Miroslaw Scislowicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Greef was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijs Baars to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Roeland Duinhoven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruitenberg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roeland Duinhoven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Greef breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruitenberg FC's Rik Stekelenburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijs Baars in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Niswijlre FC defense, Miroslaw Scislowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Greef. The Niswijlre FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Greef should have stopped the shot. After 60 minutes, Theo Mosselveld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niswijlre FC and the Ruitenberg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ruitenberg FC booed when Niswijlre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Mosselveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miroslaw Scislowicz in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michael Greef, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertus Ewald in the 63rd minute of play forced Ruitenberg FC's goalkeeper Rik Stekelenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslaw Scislowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Michael Greef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Greef had great luck who in the 68thth minute grab hold of the ball when Miroslaw Scislowicz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 70th minute Gijs Baars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rik Stekelenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Miroslaw Scislowicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Greef was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruitenberg FC's Miroslaw Scislowicz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michael Greef. That made the score 0-8 after 84 minutes of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruitenberg FC's goalkeeper Rik Stekelenburg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ruitenberg FC's Rik Stekelenburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijs Baars in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Niswijlre FC booed when Ruitenberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Achterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Niswijlre FC's Michael Greef got control of the ball when Miroslaw Scislowicz tried to sneak it across the goal line.
