Luc Verhoeven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Evert Smibum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Gert van Damme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joaquin Salvatore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Salvatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Famelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fluitende Ventieltjes FC booed when Krul City Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Veninga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Krul City Wolves's zone, Humberto Andriessen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Salvatore came out of the goal and Humberto Andriessen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luc Verhoeven did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Evert Smibum 28 minutes into the match. Evert Smibum came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Krul City Wolves's Luc Verhoeven. But to his dismay, Luc Verhoeven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Luc Verhoeven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Krul City Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Luc Verhoeven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evert Smibum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferry Dussel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Smibum having to interfere. If Ferry Dussel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Gert van Damme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Salvatore was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Stephan Zandee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Smibum having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Patrick Famelen made the kick off in the second half. Evert Smibum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephan Zandee in the 55th minute of the match. Krul City Wolves's Joaquin Salvatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Krul City Wolves from getting a goal against them. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Evert Smibum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luc Verhoeven in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Humberto Andriessen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Krul City Wolves's Joaquin Salvatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Krul City Wolves from getting a goal against them. Evert Smibum was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Franck Zuid got free with Joaquin Salvatore in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 85 minutes of play, Krul City Wolves's Luc Verhoeven made it 6-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Smibum was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Gert van Damme got free with Joaquin Salvatore in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Krul City Wolves's Luc Verhoeven got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fluitende Ventieltjes FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Krul City Wolves.
