Rein Verbeek hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Fruta Tropical's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Dekkers came free, but Harris Schattenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bill Dekkers in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harris Schattenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jef Kleefstra's late challenge caught a Nisse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jef Kleefstra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nisse booed when Fruta Tropical was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jef Kleefstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes Fruta Tropical got a freekick which was hit by Jef Kleefstra. Daan Staarman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nisse fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! 22 minutes into the match, Niels Saarloos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nisse's Bertus de Swart. Bertus de Swart was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Fruta Tropical's Niels Saarloos got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Fruta Tropical's goalkeeper Harris Schattenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bill Dekkers. 31 minutes into the game, Rein Verbeek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bertus de Swart was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute of the match Jan-Joost ter Averst sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertus de Swart skillfully saved the ball. After 34 minutes, Fernando Terpstra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nisse and the Fruta Tropical players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mitchell Vorenkamp's late challenge caught a Nisse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mitchell Vorenkamp helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Mitchell Vorenkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertus de Swart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jef Kleefstra in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Fruta Tropical were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bill Dekkers to make the kick off. A collision led to Nisse getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Ferry Schuttrup hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Niels Saarloos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fruta Tropical's supporters rose to their feet, but Niels Saarloos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertus de Swart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 played minutes Fruta Tropical got a freekick which was hit by Emiel Schol. A collision led to Fruta Tropical getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Riemer Oldenborger hit a great ball. Harris Schattenberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bill Dekkers's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Bill Dekkers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Harris Schattenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitchell Vorenkamp in the 67th minute of play forced Nisse's goalkeeper Bertus de Swart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Bert Teesing put in a rough tackle. Harris Schattenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Dekkers, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Nisse's Bertus de Swart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roelof Meijs in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitchell Vorenkamp in the 89th minute of play forced Nisse's goalkeeper Bertus de Swart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rein Verbeek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Bertus de Swart skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fruta Tropical's goalkeeper Harris Schattenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
