Mitchell Vorenkamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Dirks. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mitchell Vorenkamp ran back to his position shaking his head. Marnix Schuiling hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Mitchell Vorenkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Remco de Cler struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Harris Schattenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delson FC. Remco de Cler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harris Schattenberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rein Verbeek in the 21st minute of play forced Delson FC's goalkeeper Thomas Dirks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mitchell Vorenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roelof Meijs charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roelof Meijs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Roelof Meijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The goalkeeper, Harris Schattenberg, was totally fooled by Delson FC's Laurens Engelaar, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 35 played minutes Fruta Tropical got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Vorenkamp. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fruta Tropical's goalkeeper Harris Schattenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 41 minutes, Rein Verbeek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fruta Tropical and the Delson FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Rein Verbeek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitchell Vorenkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Dirks having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Mitchell Vorenkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Dirks was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remco de Cler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomas Dirks made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Rein Verbeek sent off a good shot on target. If Hubert Kleefstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes into the match, Remco de Cler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harris Schattenberg. Fruta Tropical's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remco de Cler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Rein Verbeek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Thomas Dirks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Delson FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Marnix Schuiling hit a great ball. Thomas Dirks acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Klaas Spannenburg. In the 71st minute, Roelof Meijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Delson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mitchell Vorenkamp came free, but Thomas Dirks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Remco de Cler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harris Schattenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riemer Oldenborger's late challenge caught a Delson FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Riemer Oldenborger helped the player get up and apologised. Delson FC made a substitution. Nigel van Dinteren replaced Erik de Winter. A collision led to Fruta Tropical getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Riemer Oldenborger hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Laurens Engelaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delson FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurens Engelaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harris Schattenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the game, Delson FC's Hubert Kleefstra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harris Schattenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Remco de Cler might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harris Schattenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remco de Cler ran back to his position shaking his head.
