Nisse's Gerard Wehkamp quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Corné van Dijk, made in the 18th minute of the game. Bertus de Swart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Stekelenburg in the 23rd minute of the match. Bergeijk's Berry Blanc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Bergeijk from getting a goal against them. Berry Blanc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Dekkers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bergeijk getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Rick Germs hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nisse fully deserved thier win.
