Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luc Verhoeven started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Herksen got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Hilbrands. If Luc Verhoeven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luc Verhoeven sped through Herksen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cobus de Haan. A collision led to Herksen getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stefan Hilbrands hit a great ball. After 9 minutes of play, Krul City Wolves's Luc Verhoeven made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cobus de Haan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cobus de Haan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luc Verhoeven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cobus de Haan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilco Arends in the 17th minute of play. Cor Brürs was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Herksen's Jan Sanders got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joaquin Salvatore. Ferry Dussel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cobus de Haan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriaan Rijkaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ferry Dussel's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Cobus de Haan - 1-3 was put on the score board in the 33rd minute. Stephan Zandee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stephan Zandee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cobus de Haan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Herksen's zone, Stephan Zandee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cobus de Haan came out of the goal and Stephan Zandee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 minutes, Agne Isaksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Krul City Wolves and the Herksen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Krul City Wolves getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Agne Isaksson hit a great ball. Herksen's Harmen Bender shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joaquin Salvatore but with some difficulty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Stephan Zandee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cobus de Haan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luc Verhoeven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th play minute Luc Verhoeven came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cobus de Haan. 1-5. Luc Verhoeven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cobus de Haan having to interfere. Olaf Verheije sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilco Arends fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cobus de Haan having to interfere. Stefan Kostermans hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. A collision led to Herksen getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ferdinant Broers hit a great ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Luc Verhoeven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Krul City Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luc Verhoeven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herksen's Cobus de Haan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Herksen from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Krul City Wolves's Adriaan Rijkaard got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Kostermans in the 83rd minute of play forced Krul City Wolves's goalkeeper Joaquin Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathieu Ruiter made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Harmen Bender immediately put the ball in play. When Ferry Dussel came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Krul City Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferry Dussel couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Krul City Wolves could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Herksen throughout the match.
