Harris Schattenberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjoerd Helwig's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Sjoerd Helwig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harris Schattenberg having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sjoerd Helwig in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harris Schattenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th match minute, Fruta Tropical was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roelof Meijs to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes, Jef Kleefstra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fruta Tropical and the SV Spakenburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SV Spakenburg booed when Fruta Tropical was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jef Kleefstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Fruta Tropical's goal looked a bit too open when Sjoerd Helwig came free, but Harris Schattenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roelof Meijs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjoerd Helwig in the 31st minute of play forced Fruta Tropical's goalkeeper Harris Schattenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fruta Tropical's Rein Verbeek got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 35 minutes of play, SV Spakenburg's Frank Pragt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harris Schattenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stef van Zonderen kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Rein Verbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Knauer having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjoerd Helwig in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harris Schattenberg saved Fruta Tropical from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mitchell Vorenkamp made a kick off. The SV Spakenburg fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when SV Spakenburg's Sjoerd Helwig looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rein Verbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjoerd Helwig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harris Schattenberg having to interfere. If Frank Pragt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jef Kleefstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Orlando Knauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Fruta Tropical's goal looked a bit too open when Sjoerd Helwig came free, but Harris Schattenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fruta Tropical defense, Frank Pragt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harris Schattenberg. The Fruta Tropical fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harris Schattenberg should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fruta Tropical getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Niels Saarloos hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Roelof Meijs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Teo Everts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Spakenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fruta Tropical the free kick. After 94 played minutes SV Spakenburg got a freekick which was hit by Teo Everts. SV Spakenburg played a much better game than Fruta Tropical and deserved their victory. The Fruta Tropical players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
