The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Foeke Kolkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Cláudio Muslera made a huge save. Jelmer Carels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Thijsse in the 8th minute of play. Cláudio Muslera made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Foeke Kolkman sent off a good shot on target. Jelmer Carels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Veltman in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Arno Gierman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Koningsbosch HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unit5 the free kick. In the 24th minute, Arno Gierman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Unit5's Arne Seinstra got a free kick in the 26th minute. Koningsbosch HC's Foeke Kolkman got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Chris Veltman came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Unit5 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Veltman couldn't finish the play. When Unit5's Roy Thijsse in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unit5's Cláudio Muslera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Unit5 from getting a goal against them. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arno Gierman to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foeke Kolkman in the 58th minute of play forced Unit5's goalkeeper Cláudio Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Foeke Kolkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cláudio Muslera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Veltman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jelmer Carels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Thijsse, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Roy Thijsse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Koningsbosch HC's Jelmer Carels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Roy Thijsse took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Jelmer Carels to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 83 minutes, Foeke Kolkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Koningsbosch HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Foeke Kolkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Ronny de Mol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cláudio Muslera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 96 played minutes Koningsbosch HC got a freekick which was hit by Arno Gierman.
