Spectators: 7466 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jurre Beukenkamp got the match started through his kick off. With his leg Gio Theissen managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Rietven HC's Jurre Beukenkamp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute of the match Thomas Zwart shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gio Theissen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jurre Beukenkamp in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gio Theissen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Max Panter hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Rolf Meijeringh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gio Theissen having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Roderick van Galen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Max Panter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jurre Beukenkamp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gio Theissen came out and tried to block the shot, but Jurre Beukenkamp slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Gio Theissen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roderick van Galen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Meijeringh in the 54th minute of play forced Laak Eendracht's goalkeeper Gio Theissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Laak Eendracht defense, Jurre Beukenkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gio Theissen. The Laak Eendracht fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gio Theissen should have stopped the shot. Thomas van Dijk kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Laak Eendracht's Max Panter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolf Kimman. That made the score 3-2 after 64 minutes of play. In the 70th minute Jurre Beukenkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gio Theissen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Laak Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Jurre Beukenkamp came free, but Gio Theissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes, Jeffrey Walstra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laak Eendracht and the Rietven HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, one of Laak Eendracht:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Laak Eendracht. After a defensive mix-up in Laak Eendracht's zone, Jurre Beukenkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gio Theissen came out of the goal and Jurre Beukenkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes Laak Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Govert Westerink. Roderick van Galen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute Jurre Beukenkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gio Theissen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolf Kimman made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Max Panter sent off a good shot on target.
