Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 50) Jurre Beukenkamp started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rolf Kimman came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Lammerenburg HC's Michael Wilson. But to his dismay, Michael Wilson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Michael Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jos Dalman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rolf Kimman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolf Meijeringh was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Rietven HC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rolf Meijeringh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Otto Ierlandt made a huge save. A hard shot 26 in the game by Roderick van Galen from a close distance when the talented Otto Ierlandt managed to make a qualified save. Lammerenburg HC's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roderick van Galen in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto Ierlandt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurre Beukenkamp in the 33rd minute of play forced Lammerenburg HC's goalkeeper Otto Ierlandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Wilson took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolf Kimman. Rolf Kimman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, Lammerenburg HC's Otto Ierlandt got control of the ball when Jurre Beukenkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolf Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hub Bartels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roderick van Galen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otto Ierlandt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

After 52 played minutes Lammerenburg HC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Jonkman. The supporters of Rietven HC booed when Lammerenburg HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hub Bartels didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Lammerenburg HC's goal looked a bit too open when Jurre Beukenkamp came free, but Otto Ierlandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lammerenburg HC's attentive Sander van der Doelen managed to snatch the ball when Filip de Zwart made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. Otto Ierlandt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roderick van Galen went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After 77 minutes of play, Lammerenburg HC's Sander van der Doelen made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolf Kimman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lammerenburg HC's Michael Wilson suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. René Huisingh's late challenge caught a Lammerenburg HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. René Huisingh helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rietven HC's René Huisingh got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, Robert-Jan Colen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes of play, Rietven HC's Jurre Beukenkamp made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otto Ierlandt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roderick van Galen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Otto Ierlandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hub Bartels struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Rolf Kimman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lammerenburg HC. The Lammerenburg HC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
