Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arno Gierman made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute Albert Smit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelmer Carels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pride of the North's Henk-Jan Stroobos got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 22nd minute, Foeke Kolkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Koningsbosch HC booed when Pride of the North was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk-Jan Stroobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Arno Gierman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Siebum. Pride of the North's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arno Gierman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Arno Gierman notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pride of the North's Hans Siebum. Hans Siebum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Foeke Kolkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Siebum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Gierman in the 37th minute of the match. Albert Smit took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jelmer Carels. Jelmer Carels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Foeke Kolkman came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Koningsbosch HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Foeke Kolkman couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Smit to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Foeke Kolkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Siebum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Foeke Kolkman in the 55th minute of the match. Hans Siebum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Gierman in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Albert Smit fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Pride of the North booed when Koningsbosch HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricky Molenaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Albert Smit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rien Saarberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Carels having to interfere. Albert Smit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Koningsbosch HC's zone, Albert Smit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jelmer Carels came out of the goal and Albert Smit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Albert Smit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pride of the North's goalkeeper Hans Siebum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teo Zuiverloon's late challenge caught a Koningsbosch HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teo Zuiverloon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pride of the North getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Teo Zuiverloon hit a great ball.
