Jelmer Carels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emre Çalkın in the 7th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emre Çalkın in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jelmer Carels saved Koningsbosch HC from getting behind. With 9 minutes on the clock, Simon Ijspol commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 8th minute, one of Koningsbosch HC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Koningsbosch HC. In the 11th minute, Laak Eendracht got a penalty, and Govert Westerink placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Gio Theissen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marnix Dalmeijer went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Koningsbosch HC booed when Laak Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Govert Westerink didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Koningsbosch HC defense, Arjen van der Valk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jelmer Carels. The Koningsbosch HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jelmer Carels should have stopped the shot. Laak Eendracht's Gio Theissen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Foeke Kolkman in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Laak Eendracht's zone, Foeke Kolkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gio Theissen came out of the goal and Foeke Kolkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Koningsbosch HC's Jelmer Carels got control of the ball when Arjen van der Valk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Koningsbosch HC's Karel Jonker got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Koningsbosch HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arno Gierman to maneuver through the defense. If Govert Westerink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Govert Westerink left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laak Eendracht fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Arno Gierman hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Jelmer Carels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emre Çalkın, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Laak Eendracht were the better team. Laak Eendracht's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
