Jelte Seedorf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Ierlandt having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hub Bartels to make the kick off. Giel Folkers's late challenge caught a FC Fruithof's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giel Folkers helped the player get up and apologised. Giel Folkers hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jorn Buskermolen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Ierlandt having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hub Bartels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dudu Rossi was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. FC Fruithof's Jelte Seedorf got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 played minutes Lammerenburg HC got a freekick which was hit by Robert-Jan Colen. After a defensive mix-up in Lammerenburg HC's zone, Jelte Seedorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Ierlandt came out of the goal and Jelte Seedorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Oost hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. FC Fruithof's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
