Pride of the North's Teo Zuiverloon managed to work through Rietven HC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Teo Zuiverloon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Rolf Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Zuiverloon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Teo Zuiverloon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Rolf Kimman made a huge save. If Roderick van Galen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurre Beukenkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Hans Siebum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Rietven HC's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Smit came free, but Rolf Kimman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolf Kimman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk-Jan Stroobos in the 74th minute of the match. The Pride of the North fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rietven HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
