Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arno Gierman got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Roderick van Galen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelmer Carels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jelmer Carels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jurre Beukenkamp went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Arno Gierman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Rolf Kimman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Koningsbosch HC booed when Rietven HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Zwart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurre Beukenkamp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jelmer Carels read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. A hard shot by Simon Ijspol from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Rolf Kimman's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Rolf Kimman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arno Gierman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Jurre Beukenkamp succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Rietven HC were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Koningsbosch HC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jurre Beukenkamp took the corner. Daan Achterberg charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daan Achterberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Daan Achterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute of the match Jurre Beukenkamp shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jelmer Carels showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruud Baptist during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Koningsbosch HC's Ruud Baptist got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Koningsbosch HC's goal looked a bit too open when Roderick van Galen came free, but Jelmer Carels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Rietven HC fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Rietven HC's Jurre Beukenkamp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jurre Beukenkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jelmer Carels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jurre Beukenkamp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolf Meijeringh who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Jelmer Carels when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 59 minutes, Arno Gierman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Koningsbosch HC and the Rietven HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arno Gierman kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A hard shot 60 in the game by Jurre Beukenkamp from a close distance when the talented Jelmer Carels managed to make a qualified save. Koningsbosch HC's players were relieved. Rolf Meijeringh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Arno Gierman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Rietven HC's goal looked a bit too open when Foeke Kolkman came free, but Rolf Kimman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roderick van Galen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Jelmer Carels made a huge save. After 69 minutes of play, Koningsbosch HC's Karel Jonker made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolf Kimman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rietven HC's Rolf Kimman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Foeke Kolkman in the 74th minute of play. Rolf Kimman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Gierman in the 75th minute of the match. Rolf Kimman came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Koningsbosch HC's Karel Jonker. But to his dismay, Karel Jonker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Rolf Kimman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Gierman in the 79th minute of the match. Rolf Kimman came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Koningsbosch HC's Ronny de Mol. But to his dismay, Ronny de Mol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jurre Beukenkamp in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jelmer Carels prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damien Struik struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jelmer Carels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rietven HC. 95 minutes in the game, Roderick van Galen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jelmer Carels having to interfere.
