Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antoon Neijsen started the match with the kick off. Arjen Soer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoon Neijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the match, Sc Arnhem's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Struik came free, but Arjen Soer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roy Struik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Roy Struik came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the LSC 1890 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Struik couldn't finish the play. Leon Roelofsen kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Pepijn Ricksen struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dé Coffee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sc Arnhem. When Herman Zeydeveld came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Sc Arnhem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herman Zeydeveld couldn't finish the play. Roy Struik hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Dé Coffee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Ricksen in the 26th minute of play. Arjen Soer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoon Neijsen in the 28th minute of the match. Antoon Neijsen succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. LSC 1890's Dé Coffee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepijn Ricksen in the 36th minute of play. After 38 played minutes LSC 1890 got a freekick which was hit by Berry Neeskens. Marick Schol hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Antoon Neijsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

After having played for 59 minutes, Antoon Neijsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LSC 1890's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antoon Neijsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herman Zeydeveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Sc Arnhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Hofmeester to maneuver through the defense. Antoon Neijsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Roy Struik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy Struik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen Soer having to interfere. Raymond Hofmeester kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Antoon Neijsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoon Neijsen in the 91st minute of play forced Sc Arnhem's goalkeeper Arjen Soer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arjen Soer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Struik went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The LSC 1890 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
