The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Poortugaal FC booed when Reusel S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grzegorz Lewandowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Geert van Harten managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Reusel S.C.'s Frederik Diggele fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Reusel S.C.'s Gilbert Engström got a free kick in the 8th minute. Poortugaal FC's Jeffrey Heeringa got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederik Diggele who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Geert van Harten when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ferdinant Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Muno in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Frederik Diggele fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Geert van Harten managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Reusel S.C.'s Hans Schulte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 31st match minute, Poortugaal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain Kok to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Frederik Diggele could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Geert van Harten however easily saved by the left post. Reusel S.C.'s Ferdinant Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Steelman in the 35th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Poortugaal FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Reusel S.C.:s goal. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Reusel S.C.'s 肖云云 got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Geert van Harten. Reusel S.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 肖云云 in the 42nd minute. Poortugaal FC were furious when Evert van Zaanen was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Evert van Zaanen kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When 肖云云 came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Reusel S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 肖云云 couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frederik Diggele to strike the kick off in the second half. Poortugaal FC's Geert van Harten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Schulte in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes in the game, Hans Schulte dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martien Jochemsen in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geert van Harten saved Poortugaal FC from getting behind. The supporters of Poortugaal FC booed when Reusel S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martien Jochemsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Poortugaal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frederik Diggele came free, but Geert van Harten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Muno in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferdinant Schmidt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 69th match minute, Reusel S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Wei Wei to maneuver through the defense. Anastasio Muno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reusel S.C.'s Ferdinant Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Reusel S.C. from getting a goal against them. Poortugaal FC made a substitution. Berry Schmidt replaced Sven Berg. 肖云云 made a great header on Reusel S.C.'s corner, it was just that Poortugaal FC's Geert van Harten managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 81st minute, Gilbert Engström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anastasio Muno struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ferdinant Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poortugaal FC.
