With an all-out effort, FC Saleen's Geert van Harten threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Shi Peng Hui, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Muno in the 11th minute of play forced FC Saleen's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shi Peng Hui charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shi Peng Hui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes FC Saleen got a freekick which was hit by Shi Peng Hui. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasio Muno in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Pedro Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geert van Harten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Spanjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Poortugaal FC's Geert van Harten got control of the ball when Erik van Harten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Poortugaal FC's Arjen Haas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Pedro Mandrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Poortugaal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik van Harten came free, but Geert van Harten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arno Ranzijn made a great header on FC Saleen's corner, it was just that Poortugaal FC's Geert van Harten managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Anastasio Muno put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Pedro Mandrak. Geert van Harten was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Geert van Harten successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Geert van Harten was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erik van Harten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 39 minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Shi Peng Hui dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geert van Harten, 3-1. Geert van Harten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Peng Hui in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Muno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When FC Saleen's Shi Peng Hui, in the 52nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for FC Saleen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik van Harten in the 55th minute of play forced Poortugaal FC's goalkeeper Geert van Harten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Shi Peng Hui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Geert van Harten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Erik van Harten managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Saleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik van Harten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geert van Harten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, FC Saleen's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Mandrak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anastasio Muno. In the 74th match minute, FC Saleen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Deinse to maneuver through the defense. Shi Peng Hui took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geert van Harten. Geert van Harten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shi Peng Hui in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geert van Harten saved Poortugaal FC from getting behind. Geert van Harten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Spanjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Geert van Harten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martien Zoetmulder in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Shi Peng Hui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geert van Harten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes FC Saleen got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Deinse. A collision led to FC Saleen getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dirk Deinse hit a great ball. Zé Pedro Mandrak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anastasio Muno in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Saleen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Poortugaal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
