The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maikel Lammers to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maikel Lammers went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. When Martijn Boezeman fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northern Titans's protests and gave Martijn Boezeman a yellow card for diving instead. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui was a little too slow when Neeme Van Achteren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-13. Northern Titans's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
