The corner led Biervliet's Ab van Zwam to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabiano Jablonski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Filip de Vries was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Biervliet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Overburen the free kick. The supporters of Overburen booed when Biervliet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip de Vries didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bart Pik fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biervliet's protests and gave Bart Pik a yellow card for diving instead. Bart Pik hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Overburen defense, Filip de Vries kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Jablonski. The Overburen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Jablonski should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filip de Vries stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Biervliet booed when Overburen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignatius Cortiguera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ab van Zwam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Jablonski having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Overburen's zone, Florian Deuring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Jablonski came out of the goal and Florian Deuring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th play minute Filip de Vries came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabiano Jablonski. 1-2. Blair Bacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rob Kort tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Filip de Vries managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rob Kort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guus Daniels, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Fabiano Jablonski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filip de Vries in the 83rd minute. Ab van Zwam took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Jablonski. Fabiano Jablonski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 95 minutes in the game, Florian Deuring fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fabiano Jablonski having to interfere. 98 minutes into the game, Filip de Vries recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabiano Jablonski. Filip de Vries showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Biervliet played a much better game than Overburen and deserved their victory. The Overburen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
