Gijs Molhoek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freek Som in the 22nd minute of play. Hector Pello took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gijs Molhoek. Gijs Molhoek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gijs Molhoek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freek Som, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Hector Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gijs Molhoek having to interfere. Harry Mik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Cambridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Pim defense, Hector Pello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gijs Molhoek. The FC Pim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gijs Molhoek should have stopped the shot. Leiden Spor Kulubu made a substitution. Dries Muskee replaced Timo Staarman. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The FC Pim fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when FC Pim's Johannes Ewald looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leiden Spor Kulubu made a substitution. Harry Mik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If 陈远迪 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
