Spectators: 8150 (Terracing: 6113, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 163) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harm Reis got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Murphy in the 2nd minute of play forced PSV Eindhoven's goalkeeper Alwin Baatenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alwin Baatenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdi Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Mevlüt Naşit made a precise shot to the right of Alwin Baatenburg. PSV Eindhoven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Ferdi Reis notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of PSV Eindhoven's Alwin Baatenburg. Alwin Baatenburg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alwin Baatenburg came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Springplank FC's Mevlüt Naşit. But to his dismay, Mevlüt Naşit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Alwin Baatenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Murphy in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, PSV Eindhoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie van der Schaaf to maneuver through the defense. Eddie Murphy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerrit Bos took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alwin Baatenburg. Alwin Baatenburg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 27 minutes of play, Springplank FC's Mevlüt Naşit made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alwin Baatenburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute of the match Springplank FC got a corner. PSV Eindhoven's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mevlüt Naşit ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mevlüt Naşit struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Alwin Baatenburg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Springplank FC. After 37 played minutes PSV Eindhoven got a freekick which was hit by Robbie van der Schaaf. 39 minutes into the game, Gerrit Bos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Alwin Baatenburg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerrit Bos in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alwin Baatenburg saved PSV Eindhoven from getting behind. Alwin Baatenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrit Bos in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Mevlüt Naşit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alwin Baatenburg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Springplank FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
