Rudi Ebbinge made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Eddie Murphy sent off a good shot on target. Gerrit Bos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudi Ebbinge having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kant Cooley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudi Ebbinge was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. With a little luck, Steedshoger's Rudi Ebbinge got control of the ball when Eddie Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 20 played minutes Steedshoger got a freekick which was hit by Mirko Wisgerhof. In the 27th minute of the match, Wasyl Majczyk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rudi Ebbinge saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rudi Ebbinge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kant Cooley in the 28th minute. Springplank FC's Gerrit Bos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rudi Ebbinge in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerrit Bos in the 34th minute of play forced Steedshoger's goalkeeper Rudi Ebbinge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Meurs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geale van Dongen, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrit Bos got free with Rudi Ebbinge in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steedshoger's Rudi Ebbinge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wasyl Majczyk in the 39th minute of play. Rudi Ebbinge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Majczyk in the 43rd minute of the match. Benjamin Meurs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Hovenkamp in the 44th minute of play. Springplank FC's Benjamin Meurs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Japke Wielaert in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rogier Post kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Otto Eylens made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Koen Ros however managed to control. After 57 played minutes Springplank FC got a freekick which was hit by Niels-Jan Cales. When Springplank FC's Gerrit Bos, in the 69th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Springplank FC. After 73 played minutes Steedshoger got a freekick which was hit by Mark Hovenkamp. Gerrit Bos took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudi Ebbinge. Rudi Ebbinge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gerrit Bos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wasyl Majczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Meurs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Japke Wielaert in the 92nd minute of the match. Springplank FC's Gerrit Bos got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Murphy in the 95th minute of play forced Steedshoger's goalkeeper Rudi Ebbinge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Springplank FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
