Jurgen Spierenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gooitzen Oosting in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Vives in the 12th minute of play forced Daarlerveen's goalkeeper Jurgen Spierenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurgen Spierenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gooitzen Oosting in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Vincent Abbenbroek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Raymond Vives shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Spierenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Houwings short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Adrian Jakobsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daarlerveen's Hubert Houwing came free and shot a quick shot against goal 25 minutes in the game, fortunately Adrian Jakobsson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Daarlerveen's Zachary Cisek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adrian Jakobsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Knollenveld FC booed when Daarlerveen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joost Swart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barry Mans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Adrian Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Audun Richardsen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Daarlerveen's Jurgen Spierenburg. Jurgen Spierenburg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jurgen Spierenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten van Harten in the 38th minute of play. Jurgen Spierenburg came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Knollenveld FC's Napoleon Gollob. But to his dismay, Napoleon Gollob quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hans Tieleman kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Klaas Vennegoor charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas Vennegoor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hubert Houwing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daarlerveen's Jurgen Spierenburg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Daarlerveen from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Knollenveld FC booed when Daarlerveen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Hommes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Knollenveld FC's Adrian Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Houwing in the 58th minute of play. Pierre Hommes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Audun Richardsen in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gooitzen Oosting got free with Jurgen Spierenburg in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Knollenveld FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Mans came free, but Adrian Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Audun Richardsen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jurgen Spierenburg. Audun Richardsen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Barry Mans put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Adrian Jakobsson. Hans Tieleman kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 89th play minutes Audun Richardsen shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Jurgen Spierenburg and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Daarlerveen's Jurgen Spierenburg got control of the ball when Gooitzen Oosting tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Jakobsson came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Daarlerveen's Barry Mans. But to his dismay, Barry Mans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Knollenveld FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
