Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jordi Zuidam kicked off to start the match. After 7 minutes of play, SAFA United's Ronald Hofman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ademar Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Ascoli Picchio F.C. defense, Joost Reitsma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademar Queirós. The Ascoli Picchio F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademar Queirós should have stopped the shot. Mark Waterreus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Israel having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ascoli Picchio F.C.! Joost Reitsma did an outstanding performance 19 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-3 to the right of an irritated Ademar Queirós in the goal. SAFA United's Jan Israel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Waterreus in the 22nd minute of play. Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Luirink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Israel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Gert Luirink got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Ademar Queirós came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by SAFA United's Koen Waterman. But to his dismay, Koen Waterman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronald Hofman to strike the kick off in the second half. Mark Waterreus struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Jan Israel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ascoli Picchio F.C.. If Mark Waterreus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SAFA United's attentive Dennis Holten managed to snatch the ball when Olaf Alberda made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Ademar Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Holten in the 62nd minute of play. Mark Waterreus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Ademar Queirós got control of the ball when Ronald Hofman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Ronald Hofman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Ademar Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Waterreus in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Israel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ademar Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronald Hofman in the 69th minute. Jan Israel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Waterreus in the 72nd minute of the match. SAFA United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
