The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to SAFA United getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ronald Hofman hit a great ball. In the 4th minute, Raymond Vives got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Gooitzen Oosting notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SAFA United's Jan Israel. Jan Israel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gooitzen Oosting in the 8th minute of play forced SAFA United's goalkeeper Jan Israel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Audun Richardsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 89th minute, Karsten van Harten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
