The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Spyros Skalidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomas Leonidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Bonadona in the 50th minute of the match. The supporters of Weijereind S.C. booed when Medevoort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Long Canac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Weijereind S.C.'s Thomas Leonidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Mangione in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Jan Rein Iemberge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Leonidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Spyros Skalidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weijereind S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Spyros Skalidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Medevoort's goalkeeper Simon Drábek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
