Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 168) Hub Roelofsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th match minute, Budapest United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Abbenbroek to maneuver through the defense. Hans Beishuizen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 10 minutes on the clock, Henk Hofkamp commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cadier! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Budapest United. Peter van Gaal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laurens de Freitas. 0-1. With a little luck, Budapest United's Christodoulos Moscholidis got control of the ball when Erwin Bömker tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Hub Roelofsen came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cadier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hub Roelofsen couldn't finish the play. Hans Beishuizen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Christodoulos Moscholidis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 39th minute, Evripidis Stabouloglou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Budapest United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Hans Beishuizen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christodoulos Moscholidis having to interfere. With splendid footwork Hans Beishuizen arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-3 by the left pole in the game's 46th minute. After the first half Budapest United were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Peter van Gaal made the kick off in the second half. Evripidis Stabouloglou in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Laurens de Freitas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 52nd match minute, Cadier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Robbermond to maneuver through the defense. Laurens de Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter van Gaal in the 55th minute of play. Arnold Robbermond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christodoulos Moscholidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Beishuizen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Budapest United getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Folker de Winter hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Cadier got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Robbermond. In the 68th minute, Hub Roelofsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the game, Cadier's Hans Beishuizen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christodoulos Moscholidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Laurens de Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martijn Klaasens in the 74th minute. Laurens de Freitas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anton Zadelhoff. Budapest United's Christodoulos Moscholidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Beishuizen in the 76th minute of play. If Hub Roelofsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cadier booed when Budapest United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Abbenbroek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Budapest United's goalkeeper Christodoulos Moscholidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ralph Abbenbroek kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
