Oranjú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hawkfield FC the free kick. Jelle Ijspol hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the game, Rik Wikenburg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nick Need was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nick Need stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rik Wikenburg's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Rik Wikenburg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nick Need was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gerry Butterworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rik Wikenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Rik Wikenburg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nick Need. Oranjú FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rik Wikenburg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Gerry Butterworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes of play, Hawkfield FC's Rik Wikenburg made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nick Need was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Daniël van Zijp suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 26 minutes, Huub Meindert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawkfield FC and the Oranjú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Oranjú FC booed when Hawkfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huub Meindert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Rik Wikenburg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nick Need. Oranjú FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rik Wikenburg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Nick Need showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rik Wikenburg in the 34th minute of the match. Nick Need stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rik Wikenburg's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Rik Wikenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nick Need made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rik Wikenburg in the 45th minute of play. The Oranjú FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hawkfield FC were winning 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rik Wikenburg was the one to do the kick off. Oranjú FC's Jelle Ijspol got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Jelle Ijspol off the ground. Jelle Ijspol kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rik Wikenburg got free with Nick Need in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rik Wikenburgs short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Nick Need to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rik Wikenburg in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nick Need, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mickael van Zeggeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markku Kankaanpää having to interfere. Gerry Butterworth kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickael van Zeggeren in the 64th minute of play forced Hawkfield FC's goalkeeper Markku Kankaanpää to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Rik Wikenburg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nick Need. Rik Wikenburg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. In the 76th match minute, Oranjú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert van Zomeren to maneuver through the defense. Huub Meindert, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 79 played minutes Rik Wikenburg rounded Oranjú FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. In the 82nd match minute, Oranjú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serge Das to maneuver through the defense. Rik Wikenburg might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nick Need. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rik Wikenburg ran back to his position shaking his head. Rik Wikenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute Hawkfield FC were awarded a corner. Huub Meindert went to the cornerflag to take it. If Rik Wikenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Oranjú FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hawkfield FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
