Hawkfield FC's attentive Gerry Butterworth managed to snatch the ball when Nick Talsma made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. After having played for 11 minutes, Rik Wikenburg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawkfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rik Wikenburg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markku Kankaanpää made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Acatincăi in the 15th minute of play. Humberto Stroeve made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rik Wikenburg in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the game, De Rammers FC's Vali Acatincăi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markku Kankaanpää made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Hawkfield FC's Bill Ostermann got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of De Rammers FC booed when Hawkfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rik Wikenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Hawkfield FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Reinier Kemper hit a great ball. Humberto Stroeve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rik Wikenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Jordy Moorlag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markku Kankaanpää saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Rik Wikenburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawkfield FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Rammers FC the free kick. After 47 played minutes Hawkfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Rik Wikenburg. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Vali Acatincăi made the kick off in the second half. Rik Wikenburg struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Humberto Stroeve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkfield FC. The supporters of Hawkfield FC booed when De Rammers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Talsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rik Wikenburg in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Stroeve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Koen Batenburg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Arjan Rieks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Stroeve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huub Meindert in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th match minute, De Rammers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koen Batenburg to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Gerry Butterworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Rik Wikenburg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Humberto Stroeve was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Toni van Zonderen made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Johannes Haan. Toni van Zonderen got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Johannes Haan. After some careless play in the De Rammers FC defense, Rik Wikenburg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Stroeve. The De Rammers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Stroeve should have stopped the shot. Markku Kankaanpää made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Vali Acatincăi sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hawkfield FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jordy Moorlag was slow to take the kick. During this time De Rammers FC's players had a chance to rest. Jordy Moorlag made a great header on De Rammers FC's corner, it was just that Hawkfield FC's Markku Kankaanpää managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hawkfield FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while De Rammers FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
