Mario Kiewiet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charly Rusterholz in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, FC Adder's Toni Boshuis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 14th minute, Charly Rusterholz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rondo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mario Kiewiet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacco Hekman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orestis Lazarou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Boshuis's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. FC Adder's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rinus Meertens in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match, Necmettin Aydınoğlu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Orestis Lazarou was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 25 minutes into the match, Rondo's goalkeeper Orestis Lazarou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurens Stegeman. A collision led to FC Adder getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Laurens Stegeman hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Toni Boshuis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orestis Lazarou was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. FC Adder were furious when Rinus Meertens was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Adder fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! 39 minutes into the match, Rick de Zee had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mario Kiewiet. FC Adder's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rick de Zee was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Orestis Lazarou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Boshuis in the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Adder booed when Rondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rick de Zee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Lope was the one to do the kick off. Rick de Zee charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rick de Zee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurens Stegeman in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orestis Lazarou saved Rondo from getting behind. Gert Tanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orestis Lazarou having to interfere. Orestis Lazarou came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Adder's Toni Boshuis. But to his dismay, Toni Boshuis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 59th match minute, FC Adder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Cazimir to maneuver through the defense. Mario Kiewiet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charly Rusterholz in the 62nd minute of play. Orestis Lazarou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Boshuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Miguel Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Toni Boshuis came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the FC Adder fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Boshuis couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Adder booed when Rondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacco Hekman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orestis Lazarou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Boshuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Rondo's Charly Rusterholz in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Adder's goalie prevented a goal. Rondo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rick de Zee in the 89th minute. The corner led Rondo's Rick de Zee to fire away a dangerous shot which Mario Kiewiet despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Jacco Hekman could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Mario Kiewiet however easily saved by the left post. Rondo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
