An unexpectedly hard shot by Hub Roelofsen in the 3rd minute of play forced Schoondorp AFC's goalkeeper Benigno Ostadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niels-Jan Reitsema's late challenge caught a Schoondorp AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niels-Jan Reitsema helped the player get up and apologised. Jos Severijnse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Laurens de Freitas made a huge save. In the 7th minute, Hub Roelofsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cadier fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Cadier booed when Schoondorp AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 37 minutes, Wilfred van der Laan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cadier and the Schoondorp AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, Wilfred van der Laan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Fabiën van Rhijn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens de Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Niels-Jan Reitsema blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benigno Ostadar having to make a save. In the 68th minute, Niels-Jan Reitsema fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benigno Ostadar, passed just outside the right post. Zhang De Wei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurens de Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhang De Wei in the 72nd minute of play forced Cadier's goalkeeper Laurens de Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
